About the Ahh Maa Project

Ahh Maa, a new venture born from a father’s desire to share his family’s culinary heritage, needed more than just a website. They needed a sophisticated e-commerce engine with complex, custom subscription logic that off-the-shelf solutions simply couldn’t handle. The challenge was to build a robust, scalable platform from the ground up that could manage recurring orders, custom edits, and unique product rules, all while providing a seamless user experience.


Our Solution

We engineered a completely bespoke solution to serve as the commercial backbone of their business. Our team developed a series of critical backend features, including:

Automatic “Rollover” Logic: A complex scheduled task that intelligently repeats a customer’s previous order if they don’t make new selections by the cut-off date.

Custom Subscription Rules: We implemented time-based editing lockdowns to prevent last-minute changes, ensuring smooth logistics for the Ahh Maa team.

Advanced Cart System: We built functionality to handle both subscription meal kits and one-off “addon” products within a single, unified order.

Our approach focused on connecting with Cyclery Studio’s core audience—avid mountain bikers—while expanding their digital footprint.


The Results

The platform has empowered Ahh Maa to launch their business with confidence, knowing their complex operational needs are fully automated. The intuitive design and stable backend are reflected in impressive early engagement metrics, with key pages like the Shop achieving session durations of over 3 minutes and an engagement rate of 86.73%. Most importantly, the custom automation has freed the founders from manual admin, allowing them to focus on what they love—crafting authentic meals.
